• Katniss is stunned after President Snow leaves.
• She is scared about the threats from President Snow. She thinks about how she will convince President Snow that she still loves Peeta.
• She doesn’t want her Mum to worry or suspect anything, so she pretends everything is as usual and nothing is wrong.
• While she is in the bathtub, she knows she cant tell Peeta, Gale or Cinna about what happened.
• She knows she can tell Haymitch.
• She stops thinking and just has a moment of peace, before her prep team shows up.
• Her whole prep team, whilst making her look gorgeous for the Victor’s Tour talk around her. She overhears them talking about the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell are a more horrible version of the Hunger Games and happens every 25 years.
• This is an awful anniversary because Katniss has to be a mentor for a child from her district (District 12.)
• At the last Quarter Quell – the year in which Haymitch was crowned, there were twice as many tributes.
• The prep team doesn’t stop talking. Katniss’ mother shows them how to do the braid, that Katniss wore when she became a tribute.
• Then Cinna enters and Katniss is so happy because she trusts him/
• He helps her with pretending to design clothes because it is compulsory for a victor to have some kind of interesting career.
• When Effie enters to get everything ready for filming, just before they start filming, she sees Prim (her little sister) in the corner of her eye. She has a flashback to the last Hunger Games, to the event when Rue died.
• The prep team finishes to dress her and Katniss clips on her Mockingjay pin.
• They get into the train and the tour begins.
• Just before they get into the train Peeta and Katniss fall into the snow and kiss.
• She tells Haymitch that she needs help to get through this. He just tells her she will have to act for the rest of her life.
• That’s when she realizes how much she has to act on this trip.
